As a latecomer to both cannabis and competitive sports, I have spent the past several years breaking the stigma on multiple fronts. Just last year my daughter, Lia Oriel, and I set up a High Five Challenge. This encompassed a 5K, the 420 Games-Denver, a 10K, Half-Marathon, and finished with our first full Marathon. At each event we promoted the benefits of cannabis. I use cannabis for training and recovery. Each year I set new challenges. This year Lia and I are starting the International High Five Challenge. Our plan is to compete in countries that are cannabis friendly. Canada will be first on our list as it is scheduled to legalize cannabis this summer. Running is not the only sport I enjoy. Rock climbing and biking are a couple of the other things I enjoy.
apothecanna (creams, sprays, and oils) and Mary’s Medicinals (transdermal patches) for pain relief. wana gummies and Blue Kudu edibles prior to, during, and after training sessions and events. There are other products but these are the main ones that I’ve had good success with.
